Will it affect my Apple warranty if I get my iphone fixed in a non-apple authorized store?
I'm abroad in Bangladesh right now, my Apple iPhone 3Gs contract is based in the Uk. we have an authorized seller but they don't do maintainance.
There are some (rather untrustworthy) shops out here that may be able to fix my phone, but I might need to use my apple warranty eventually once I get back to get it fixed properly. that being said I need to know if my warranty will be affected.
I actually had the similar question a few days ago. in trying to find the solution I found a way to get the iOS4 for free from 2iphone4world.tk!! mine arrived in 4 days and im loving it!!

most probably the iphones are designed to be hard to open if they are opened by anyone but apple they certainly wont like it.
